This week was swank. It was so good! It started off just right with getting anther member of our companionship! We were blessed to have a mini missionary this week! It was awesome! Our mini/jr was Sister Clements. She was really quiet, but she was super cool! She was from the Glen Carbon Ward. It was a lot of fun.
We had a LOT of miracles happen this week as well! We were able to find five new investigators! It was AMAZING. And the best part is-- these people are all SO prepared! Salem is basically the promised land. I'm convinced. This last week was so busy with teaching and talking to everyone it was hard to find time to do much of anything else! Seriously, this is the best. I am loving life right now. We have been working so hard. Sister Montgomery is such a power house. We've been trying to teach and testify to everyone that we talk to and it has had incredible experience (it's no wonder they tell us to do that in Preach My Gospel)!
I won't say any names (no need to jinx it) but in this amazing week we have been able to help THREE different people prepare for baptism in the upcoming weeks! Yesterday, we were at a lesson and we invited our investigator to be baptized on theand he said, "Yeah! That's the day before my birthday!" His face lit up and it was so amazing to see the Spirit work with him. After we set the date we were testifying of how pleased his Heavenly Father is with him. And then his dad cut in and said, "Not only is your Heavenly Father proud of you, but I am proud of you." And then he continued to tell him that he was on the right track and he was so excited for him. I really am SO blessed to be able to teach these wonderful people. God is great.
I love being a missionary. I love seeing the change people make in their lives to come closer to their Savior. This has been the best thing I could have ever done for my life. I love helping people come to a knowledge of their Savior and of His redeeming and enabling power. I KNOW the Savior's Atonement will work for anyone who is willing to WORK for the blessings promised! I have faith that people can change. And with our encouragement and the Savior's help-- they will change. I love this gospel with all of my heart. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. I can't say it enough.
I love you all. Miracles are happening all around you. Go be a part of them. Take part in the great Work of Salvation.
